+Trasfers by bus to airports in Spain and Scotland

Homework for the Scottish tour

Intermediate students

 Imagine you get an email from your travel agency with the price of the whole Scottish tour and you think it is very expensive...

 1.- Write an email to the travel agency telling them you cannot afford that price and suggest a new tour whith the following places to visit (see map)

 2..- Your email to the travel agency must include the following points:
 - ask for information about flights
 - ask for information about accomodation
 - ask for information about rented buses and local guides
 - ask for information about tickets to go to the main museums and castles.

 3.- Lenght: 100 words Deadline: Friday February 1st.

trip to Scotland

Hello!
How are you doing!?

1.- Here you have a map with several places that you should check, as they may be part of our tour around Scotland. Remember that the dates for this trip are from April 19th to April 23th.

You should read the information written in each place, check the photos and decide what places are most interesting for you to visit.

2.- In the following link you have an abum with more photos of Scotland

You should check the photos and read the description of each photo.

3.- Finally, here you have a youtube link with a man speaking with Scottish accent.



 He talks about Scotland and Scottish history, and he also speaks some Scots words. If you want to see the transcript of his speech you should go to the options bar down the main window, where you can find the "like","dislike","About","Share","Add to" ... and you have to press this bottom 





You should listen to this Scottish man, reading the transcript at the same time.

EXERCISES
In order to know what are your preferences for this trip, I want you to do the following exercises:

        a) Write a coment on the map, describing how would you organise this trip in three days (April the 20th, 21st and 22nd) Bear in mind that it is not necessary to include all the places, you can do without one or two places.(100 words)

        b) Write a comment on the album from Scotland, telling additional things that you would like to do or see in Scotland and that are not shown in the map nor in the photo album (60 words)

        c) Write a comment on the youtube video explaining your impressions and thoughts about Scottish accent and Scots language. Is it too difficult to understand? what are the most difficult words? what do you think of the video? (60 words)

Improve your English

Now imagine that you have joined the "Couchsurfing" community and you are going to host an English traveller at home.



1.- Think of 6 questions that you will ask him/her when you meet him/her, in order to get to know him/her better (hobbies, favourite food, music...) and make him/her stay more comfortable.
2.- Describe your home as if you were showing it to your guest ( around 100 words)
3.- Tell your guest about the town where you live and the top sightseeing tours around this place. (100 words)

PRESENTATION

This is the first entry in this brand new blog called "Marta Matt's blog EOI, blog created to help EFOL students at home ". The aim of this blog  is to share activities and information with students at Official Languages Schools in Aragón.
